I wonder how much of a gap there is between excavations?   The Legato's north retaining wall is stabilized with steel rods drilled in the direction of the 989's, which is about to start excavation.  I imagine the 989's southern wall would have to be stabilized in a similar fashion with rods going south towards Legato's wall.

I think everyone is curious how these two excavations are going to work back-to-back. Hopefully Legato will get its northern retaining wall complete before 989's southern excavation advances in that direction..

989 is Farmer. Legato is Campbell.

2.5 years of construction..!!

That'll make much of Harris Green a non-stop construction zone for pretty much 5 years.. and then ongoing after that no doubt.  I can't wait until they finish this city.  ;)  I guess with low interest costs there is little rush to complete a project early by hiring extra crews, working longer hours, or putting an extra crane on the site. Seriously though, someone should figure out how to complete a project this size in 1.5 years.

I'll be down there Saturday with a shovel and wheelbarrow if anyone wants to help me with the excavation.

The blasting and excavation will take six months with two years for the build. Campbell is unionized so there's only so much an outfit like that can pump out the work, but it's quality work.

Townline's crews on the other hand are running full tilt from 7AM to late into the evening on many nights, and on Saturdays. They'll be done Hudson Walk Two by the spring.

To paraphrase "Fawlty Towers"*, this is Victoria; 24 floors is the limit.  ;)

Are you sure Campbell is unionized? Farmer isn't?

Sure, but they are bound by union regulations. Townline's crews (obviously different guys if required, or overtime) will still work longer hours per day, most every day, compared to Campbell or Farmer or any other unionized contractor.

Just consider the speed with which Townline's towers go up.
