United for Saanich today got an endorsement from Aaron Gunn. AKA BC Proud.

Yes, I know who they are. A bunch of guys that have a club for being MANLY and MASCULINE and they grow beards and big mustaches styled after the 1800's. And they have Proud Boy Tattoos'   Saw a show on them.

Yep apparently anyone can vote at their actual municipal hall, and avoid one of the listed polling stations for their area. But it's not an option that is very loudly advertised, and seldom is it used.  

It was listed on my voter card which was good because I didn't know about the advanced poll being held there. We were back at Commonwealth Pool later this afternoon and I mentioned to some people in line that there was no wait at the Municipal Hall and a few older folks said they didn't feel comfortable voting there because of the campers being there.

- Ontario Proud (which later expanded to BC Proud etc) was formed by Jeff Ballingall, a former political staffer under Harper who previously worked for Sun News Network

Municipality of Saanich staff at it again.  Interesting, they've provided comment for this but no comment provided when asked for clarity by media around what is wrong with Atwell's election brochure that District of Saanich staff are demanding stop distribution. 

Municipalities are the child of Provincial Gov. (in so many ways).

Unconfirmed... I heard that Saanich backed down on telling the slate to stop distributing their handout.

So it looks like the rumours are true? 

I find it puzzling that Saanich would back away from this a week after taking such a hard stance. If the matter was so egregious, wouldn't they have pursued it?

 

The issue makes me feel a little sick to my stomach. It just doesn't seem right.

I have no issue with the materials. When I received the brochure, it was incredibly obvious to me that it was coming from the slate.
