I am not trying to create conflict here, just curious. Is it something about the upgrade design you don't like, or is it that the city spent the money on street upgrades in this particular location?
If it's the location you think is not suitable, where do you feel is in most urgent need of sidewalk upgrades? If it's the design, what about it would you have done differently?

The crane is coming down later this week and the Quadra/Pandora intersection will be temporarily closed ...

Very attractive building. There are a variety of shapes that invite the eye to wander around. It's the Armstrong flooring of towers.

Personally, I think Alpha is an underrated developer... they don't do nearly as many buildings as Abstract, Chard, or Concert Properties, but all of their projects are excellent and tend to hold up well over time...

Crane is coming down; Johnson is open but Quadra is blocked off.

The use of brick and heritage styling of the podium are key to making this building so attractive. This is a beauty, especially so when compared to the abomination across Johnson Street, which to this day I can't believe was approved.

I think this building is going to age well.

What’s with that off centred horrific vent on the Quadra street side? Surely that could have been placed on a non-street facing side? Second.. the bizarre step up to the front door? Are they looking for lawsuits? Was it a improvised fix? How will residents from next door handle this new obstacle should they stray from the sidewalk?
Still a nice addition
