I'm sure if we could find a way to charge wind for interfering with business we would
Install turbines and make it work it off.

so confusing.
The new ferries left Romania on Nov. 20 and arrived in Victoria on Jan. 18 via a semi-submersible transport ship, Sunrise. They were kept there while preparations were made to unload and deliver them to Point Hope Maritime.
When the ships are unloaded Friday, Sunrise will partially submerge so the two ships can be floated off and manoeuvred by tug boats to their new destination.
BC Ferries suggests the Esquimalt Lagoon as a viewing point for those who want to witness the rare ferry-moving manoeuvre. The transport will also require the raising of the Johnson Street Bridge – BC Ferries says the public can view that process from the bridge’s pedestrian platform.
The unloading process is expected to take several hours.

perhaps one is going to the esquimalt graving dock and one to the upper harbour?

Great pictures Gary! They look massive just before the Johnson Street bridge, then not so much at the shipyard.

Thank you Gary for taking photos for those of us who couldn't make it down there.

Yeah, that's a great video. Wish I had a drone, but then again not, as I'd need all kinds of permission to fly it around like that.

A Redditor posted an accelerated video of one of the ferries entering the upper harbour.

Former Washington State ferry listed for sale on eBay
$270,000 buys a former car ferry currently ranking as the largest private yacht in the United States
A former Washington State car ferry which operated as the MV Evergreen State has just sold on eBay for the equivalent of CDN $270,000. Boasting more than 45,000 square feet of space, sellers noted that the ship is ready to sail and could find a second life as a floating hotel, event centre or the "Ultimate Live-A-Board." In operation from 1954 to 2015, the ferry primarily served the San Juan Islands. The vessel last changed hands in 2017, when the company Jones Broadcasting bought it for USD $300,000, ostensibly to use in the Caribbean. "It is priced for immediate liquidation due to other business interest," read the eBay posting.

Two new vessels in the BC Ferries fleet were splashed with a small coat of champagne on Wednesday afternoon as they were officially christened with their new names.
The Island Discovery and Island Aurora vessels are new hybrid ships scheduled to sail the Powell River-Texada Island and Port McNeill-Alert Bay-Sointula routes, respectively. They were manufactured in Romania and made their way to Victoria via a two-month journey.
Island Discovery will replace the 59-year-old North Island Princess, which will be decommissioned from the fleet, while Island Aurora will replace Quadra Queen II, which will be retained as a relief vessel.
