Who are these people that organize these unlawful events?

What social platform of communication do they use?

Are they local constituents or are they internationally funded ecoterrorists?

Who got the tweet to attend?
Where did it come from?

The suspect is well-known to police with over 100 recommended charges and many convictions. FTW.

Ergo, he was charged and released.

Violent outburst at Victoria courthouse; eight sheriffs needed to subdue man convicted of badly injuring police officer

Victoria police officer suffered brain injury when she was struck during arrest at a mental health call two years ago, ending her policing career

November 23, 2021

A Victoria courtroom erupted in violence Monday as a man who assaulted a Victoria police officer two years ago, leaving her with a traumatic brain injury, was sentenced to 15 months in jail.

Aaron Chaignon, 24, had been convicted Aug. 2 of assault causing bodily harm to Const. Jenny Lequesne, whose injuries ended her policing career.

Judge Karina Sacca asked Chaignon to stand. As soon as Sacca said the word jail, however, Chaignon began to scream, yelling: “I’m not going to jail. I’m not going to jail. I’m not going to jail.”

The sheriffs, who had been waiting in the hallway, rushed in, and the judge made a quick exit.

Chaignon, raging, screaming, kicking and flailing, was taken to the ground as sheriffs tried to calm him.

A former Red Barn assistant manager has been sentenced to 15 months in jail followed by two years of probation for unlawfully recording and publishing intimate images of nine young women on a Russian **rn site without their consent.

In September, Matthew Charles Schwabe, 33, pleaded guilty to unlawfully observing and recording eight women in a place where they could reasonably have been expected to be nude, such as a public washroom or a private bathroom. Schwabe also pleaded guilty to knowingly publishing intimate images of nine women on **rn sites without their consent.

The offences took place between June 2012 and June 2016 at three Red Barn locations and at Schwabe’s home. The names of the victims, three of whom were under the age of 18, are protected by a publication ban.

Impaired Driving Traffic Stop, Google Reviews, Uncover $100,000 Frauds

Date: Tuesday, November 23, 2021 - File: #21-44015

Victoria, BC – A man faces recommended charges after sophisticated identify thefts and frauds amounting to over $100,000 in losses were uncovered following an impaired driving traffic stop which led officers to a fake Alberta driver’s license, a series of Google reviews, identify thefts and a search warrant which revealed evidence of a sophisticated operation.

Just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, a VicPD Patrol Sergeant observed a black Dodge Ram 1500 truck being driven north on Quadra Street in the southbound lane. The officer pulled the vehicle over at Blanshard and Pembroke streets. The officer noted that the driver displayed signs of having recently consumed alcohol and when questioned, the driver told the officer that he had been drinking. Additional officers attended and a roadside screening device, or breathalyzer, was used. The driver blew a “warn” on the device, which resulted in a three-day immediate roadside prohibition (IRP).

The truck was impounded and the man released at roadside.

During the roadside investigation the driver told officers the truck belonged to his “friend John” who lived with him in a multi-unit rental building in the 1300-block of Pandora Avenue. Officers also learned that the man did not have a valid driver’s license and that the class on the Alberta license that he handed officers during the stop did not match the class recorded in the licensing system.

Having previously worked in Alberta and having possessed an Alberta driver’s license, an officer following up on the IRP immediately spotted signs of a counterfeit driver’s license. Patrol officers learned that the “friend John”, who in fact lived in Alberta, had reported an identity theft after learning of tens of thousands of dollars in fraudulent loans taken out in his name. Major Crime Unit (MCU) fraud detectives were called in to take conduct of the investigation.

Fraud detectives learned that the suspect had conducted a series of frauds using the stolen identity at a number of Victoria businesses and financial institutions. They learned that the suspect had left Google reviews at a number of these businesses and used these reviews to identify potential additional victims. The Dodge Ram 1500 truck, which had been impounded, had been stolen by fraud from an online vehicle sales service. When searched, officers discovered a replica handgun and new tools in the truck. These were seized.

As they continued their investigation, officers then attended the building in the 1300-block of Pandora Avenue where the suspect had told officers he resided with his “friend John” and observed the suspect outside. Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant. As the suspect had previous involvement with firearms, the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT) was tasked with securing the unit in the residence and arresting the suspect.

Just before 1 p.m. on November 10, 2021, GVERT executed the warrant, and arrested the suspect without incident a short distance away from the residence. As officers searched the residence, additional evidence of frauds and identify thefts were uncovered. Officers with VicPD’s Forensic Identification Section (FIS) were dispatched to document and collect the additional evidence.

To date, officers have identified several frauds, including the fraudulent purchase of the truck, a trailer and several thousand dollars in cash. The total value of frauds appears to be over $100,000. The trailer, valued at $47,000, has been recovered. This investigation remains ongoing. Charges have not been sworn.

If you have information about this file and have not yet spoken to officers, please call the VicPD Report Desk at (250) 995-7654, extension 1. To report what you know anonymously, please call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The man arrested has 15 convictions for assault, many of which police say are random and unprovoked:

Man Arrested After Random Assault On Motorist

Officers arrested a man with a history of random assaults yesterday after he struck a woman several times through her open vehicle window while she was driving on Cook Street.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24th, Patrol officers responded to a report that a woman was attacked by a pedestrian while driving on Cook Street. The woman was driving southbound on Cook Street, approaching the intersection at Johnson Street, when she encountered a man in the middle of the crosswalk. The man did not have a walk signal.

The woman proceeded slowly around the man and he again moved in front of her vehicle. The woman opened her vehicle’s window and asked the man to move out of the way, at which point he reached into her open window and punched her several times. Thankfully, nearby construction workers came to the woman’s aid and pulled the suspect away from the vehicle, despite his resistance. The construction workers held on to the suspect until police arrived.

Officers arrived on scene and took the man into custody without further incident. The woman was not seriously injured and did not require immediate medical attention.

Officers transported the suspect to VicPD cells where he was held in custody to await a bail hearing.

The suspect, a 42-year-old Victoria man, faces recommended charges of assault and mischief. He is the subject of 15 previous criminal convictions for assault, many of which are random and unprovoked incidents.

This incident remains under investigation. If you have information about this incident, please call our Report Desk and (250) 995-7654, extension 1. To report what you know anonymously, please call Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

That’s how media activism works. They know full well that most readers will be left with the first impression and never find out about corrections / deletions. Sad state of affairs.

Why is this man not institutionalized?

Because that would be inhumane and violate his rights.  :whyme:

Apparently, no one has the right to feel safe on the streets of their own town.

I hope I don't sound like I'm blaming the victim, but if she didn't want to get punched several times then why on earth was she out and about on the streets of Victoria at 2:30pm? That's practically begging to be punched several times. The only missing ingredient would be a large sign on the top of her vehicle that reads "please punch me several times" (no such sign was mentioned in the report so I'm assuming she didn't have one). Here's an idea: maybe use some common sense and just stay home if you don't want to get punched several times?

Well, it’s too bad for him that he wasn’t a pipeline protester.  In that case the police would have filmed the whole incident, asked for witnesses, started an investigation, rerouted traffic and given the driver a ticket for stopping in an intersection.  The construction workers kind of ruined the whole thing.
