It’s good. It’s a sad recap of our country. But it’s a good speech.

* That was delivered exceptionally well.
Indeed. It was one of his more composed and eloquent speeches. I can't believe we likely have to wait another full year to welcome him as Prime Minister.

The latest Nanos Research numbers show Pierre Poilievre and the federal Conservative Party have not only opened up a big lead in ballot support — but Justin Trudeau’s Liberals have fallen into a statistical tie with the NDP.
The latest Nanos ballot tracking puts the Conservative Party at 41.6 per cent, more than 20 points ahead of the Liberal Party, which fell to 21.5 per cent – down four points in four weeks.
The NDP have actually inched ahead of the Liberals at 21.6 per cent.

Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party of Canada announced today that Andrew Bevan will serve as Campaign Director and Marjorie Michel will serve as the Deputy Campaign Director for the next federal election campaign.
“Our Liberal team is focused on delivering for Canadians — putting more money in their pockets with $10-a-day child care, making housing more affordable by building nearly 4 million new homes, strengthening our public health care with dental care and pharmacare, and building a strong economy that works for everyone while creating new middle class jobs,” said Justin Trudeau, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. “Andrew Bevan has been a leader in moving forward progressive priorities for more than 30 years. With deep experience working at the highest levels of provincial and federal politics, he – along with the support of Marjorie Michel and the entire Liberal campaign team – is ready to build a winning campaign that focuses on Canadians’ priorities and fights to build a better future for everyone.”
Andrew started in politics volunteering in the 1993 federal election in Don Valley West for the late John Godfrey. He served as Director of Policy and Communications for Stéphane Dion’s leadership campaign, then as his Chief of Staff and Principal Secretary in opposition from 2007 to 2008. Andrew also served as Chief of Staff and Principal Secretary to Premier Kathleen Wynne from 2013 to 2018 — and was a senior advisor to the Premier through two provincial elections. Last October, Andrew joined the current Liberal government as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister and Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister, where he helped lead the development and rollout of the most recent federal budget.
Marjorie is an experienced Liberal political organizer with deep roots in Quebec. She currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, and has previously served as Chief of Staff to the Minister of Families, Children, and Social Development and the President of the Treasury Board in the current Liberal government. Marjorie specializes in Quebec operations and mobilization, working in those areas on the last three federal Liberal campaigns. In the 2019 and 2021 campaigns, Marjorie served as the Director of the Liberal Party’s campaign operations in Quebec. She was also a Co-Chair for the Quebec campaign in 2021.

Liberal MPs who have spent the last 10 days organizing to formally ask Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to step aside from the leadership of the Liberal party plan to plead their case directly to him at next Wednesday’s caucus.
Multiple sources familiar with the plan told CTV News the overarching objective is to be direct with the prime minister and keep the discussions private. Some MPs will be designated in advance, based on their comfort level speaking on the issue, to reflect the group’s sentiment that Trudeau should step aside for the good of the party in the next federal election.

Did y’all catch that they don’t have actual evidence against the government of India? And that Trudeau claimed Jordan Peterson is funded by the Russians?
Hmm, I thought the RCMP said they have evidence. That's exactly what their statement is saying: https://www.grc.gc.c...ions-agents-the
"Investigations have revealed that Indian diplomats and consular officials based in Canada leveraged their official positions to engage in clandestine activities"
"Evidence also shows that a wide variety of entities in Canada and abroad have been used by agents of the Government of India to collect information. Some of these individuals and businesses were coerced and threatened into working for the Government of India. The information collected for the Government of India is then used to target members of the South Asian community."

The Jordan Peterson stuff is alluding to the RT based influence campaign thing via Tenet Media that was in the news a month ago. Bunch of covert crap happening there, and if you recall, the right wing people affected didn't know where the funding was coming from. If JP was paid to create videos for Tenet, its highly likely he had no idea the original source of the funding was the Kremlin.

Not judiciary evidence apparently. So not conviction worthy. Only inuendo worthy.

What's your source? Besides Rebel, which is selective too.
From what I read the other day, diplomatic immunity is causing issues here too, hence the kick out vs charging.

"While the RCMP does not generally comment on investigative matters to preserve operational integrity, we will keep the public updated as things develop."
This is just weird....

I don't watch Rebel News.
Trudeau said it in the commission. Also, If they had it, they would be doing something other than this.

Right now, the Liberal Party seems very focused on itself. And so it seems in great danger of earning another drubbing.
What does the dissent amount to?
In a caucus of 152 MPs, 24 votes against the prime minister don't amount to anything obviously decisive — particularly when some of those 24 MPs are apparently still unwilling to reveal themselves, either publicly or to the prime minister.
The official tally of dissenting MPs is also less than the 30 or 40 that were rumoured. (You might have thought the would-be mutineers would have learned something from their own government's tendency to inflate expectations.)
The dissidents have given the prime minister until next week to make a decision on his future, which suggests they're willing to somehow escalate the pressure on Trudeau. But the fact they didn't specify what the consequences would be for Trudeau if he doesn't meet that deadline makes it that much harder to know how seriously to take this revolt.
https://www.cbc.ca/n...rship-1.7361383
So they have given him an October 28th deadline. Odd.
