My guess is the Liberals and NDP will want to hold onto power as long as possible. They are already low in the polls and probably think any chaos south of the border would benefit them. Preparedness for the change of regime to the south be damned.

GST to be removed from restaurants and some booze? What?
People will be able to buy the following goods tax-free:
- Prepared foods, including vegetable trays, pre-made meals and salads, and sandwiches.
- Restaurant meals, whether dine-in, takeout, or delivery.
- Snacks, including chips, candy, and granola bars.
- Beer, wine, cider, and pre-mixed alcoholic beverages below 7 per cent alcohol by volume (ABV).
- Children's clothing and footwear, car seats, and diapers.
- Children's toys, such as board games, dolls, and video game consoles.
- Books, print newspapers, and puzzles for all ages.
- Christmas trees.

You either respect international law or you don't. You can just decide on a case by case basis which decisions you will abide buy and which ones you will ignore.

Those warrants are ignored a lot I bet. It's a symbolic gesture. Maybe he is even guilty as charged. But no one will arrest him.
