Isn't it 7 people who have never been on council before?
True although 2 of them seem to be somewhat reasoned in their approaches.

Our constitution was utterly ignored. In it it explicitly states that the charter is the supreme law. Completely disregarded. So what does that make us?Very likely because Canada is a Parliamentary Democracy, and a Constitutional Monarchy - with the King of England as the Head of State.
Sorry for the reality check ... but my note above is a great example of the "real things" that guide Canada ever forward!

Yes. I eagerly await the first crazy motion from a new councillor.

Exactly. It’s virtue signalling. It’s not a meaningful thing at all.Agreed. Taking or not taking the pledge signals the direction each councilor intends to take. Tradition v. Woke.

Have you guys listened to Charles’s talks from Davos and the globalist clubs? He is the King of the woke agendas.

I know full well what we are. Let me rephrase that then. Why do you think the King of England should be our head of state?Very likely because Canada is a Parliamentary Democracy, and a Constitutional Monarchy - with the King of England as the Head of State.

His appointed representatives signature is on every order violating our rights over the last few years so I beg to differ. Crown land is managed by our government on his behalf not ours. So if it’s all symbolic it should be easy to replace “crown” with “people” right?Fortunately, he weilds little actual power

It's also very patriarchal that every law and statute in the province has dropped the preamble of Her Majesty the Queen and replaced it with His Majesty the King, and Queens Printers has been renamed King's Printer.
Side note: BC's recent move to eliminate all gendered language from legislation somehow didn't touch on the Queen and King's pronouns. Have we checked with King Charles about his preferred pronoun??

Ultimately the Mayor decides what goes on the agenda.
She can appear to appease the centre by voting against motions knowing that they will pass anyways, but ultimately if an item is brought forward then you know she is behind it.
