Anyone remember where the '92 shows were? Even the Hip's own site doesn't have the venue name in the archive.

I think perhaps Western Speedway. Another Roadside Attraction tour. No?

Visit my blog at: https://www.sidewalkingvictoria.com

It has a whole new look!

I first saw them when they toured for Road Apples back in around 1991 at the Royal and every show they've played here since then. I must get tickets, it'll be my first concert at SOFMC.

I last saw the hip at the barn on Blanshard where they commented on the foil ceiling and said "I feel like we are playing in a F----n TV dinner."
Good show. My ears were ringing for a week. :?

The Hip concert on the 8th seemed to sell out in less than 10 minutes and a second concert was added on the 7th to meet the high demand. Luckily I got tickets to the concert on the 7th, although I still would like to see the Hip again on the 8th if I can find a ticket.

THAT is brilliant! Brings back memories..
Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.

BNL two shows. Hip two shows. This town is starved for acts.

Hey, here's a show featuring The Skatomatics. I know that some of you guys met Derf's friend Corinne at a forum meet once or twice, and she's in this band. Looks like a good show, and Chris Murray is always great.

Went to this last night. Good show.

Know it all.

I'll be going to this show for sure.. The Skatalites! They're from Jamaica, and they play the old school version of Ska/Reggae. Rennie, you should check these guys out when they play Vancouver.. I'll be going to the Vic show myself. :)

I made this show poster, its one my fave posters thus far..

Bill Clinton show was today. Tight security, let me tell ya. You've never seen a line like that in front of SOFMC.

Not the first President to visit here:

"My secretary, many years ago when I was a young, practicing lawyer, was then an American, but she was very proud that she had been born in Canada. And as a result, after my wife and I were married, about 30 years ago--you wouldn't know it, but it was that long ago--but in any event, the year that we were married, we, with another couple, drove on a vacation to Canada. We were in Victoria and British Columbia, and brought back many pleasant memories of our first visit to Canada. It was because my secretary recommended that we go there, and we had no regrets."

Saw the Clinton thing on friday.
I'm generally dubious of politicians, or ex-politicians; but his speech was quite inspirational.
