It looks like this proposal encompasses Ditch Records (per the map on the CALUC notice); I imagine that 2-storey building would be demolished?

The plans for the 24 unit strata at 561/565 Toronto street in James Bay have been updated on Dev Tracker. I do like this design more than the original proposal...
This project might have been cancelled as it is no longer on Dev Tracker...

VicMap shows that the DP was issued
EDIT: DP was issued on October 10, 2019. No comments from the public, the project was supported unanimously by Council.

I missed the news of the approval; thanks Jackerbie!
On a completely different note: a (likely) multifamily development is proposed for 933 and 935 Convent Place in Fairfield. There is a preliminary meeting on February 13, and more details will be available from Fairfield's CALUC soon..

Anyone know what is happening on the corner of Quadra and Southgate? Entire block is all fenced off.

Kiwanis Village will be redeveloping its 8-acre site: the first phase will be the demolition of four 1-storey buildings and the erection of a 4-storey seniors living facility with 74 to 90 units. See http://www.timescolo...site-1.23190752
Kiwanis cottages will soon be demolished on Cook Street per today's T-C: https://www.timescol...onth-1.24068888

The site must be almost as big as the 320-unit Blanshard/Hillside facility and how many people lived at the Kiwanis cottages? A dozen?

...how many people lived at the Kiwanis cottages? A dozen?
According to the TC article:
...A dozen residents had been living in the cottages but they have relocated in the past 14 months to other units on the site...

I don't see a thread for Heywood 6 by Aryze at 956 Heywood Avenue.
Anyone know what happened at the Advisory Design Panel meeting on January 22?

Props to Kiwanis buying cheap property back then and plonking some cottages on it. Now they've leveraged that land and look what it can do for hundreds of people in need today.
