I think that I have said it a few times. That said I am not sure where I heard it anymore...

It has a whole new look!

Something interesting is happening adjacent to Fairfield Rise on Fairfield Rd. Perimeter fencing, large storage locker. 1950s bungalow being torn down. Lot is much bigger than FR lot. Anyone anything?

Fairfield rd along the bottom. Fairfeild Rise on the bottom left.

Interesting. Let's hope it's nothing like FR.

Well, the whole building was sold eventually. Does that count?

It looks like they've sold one unit since the rebranding.

What are those huge expensive windows going to have a view of? Fairfield Rd I am guessing, from looking at the configuration of the foundations just poured.
That's a lot of money on window coverings. To top it of that's south facing.

I just don't get why there are all these high end* contemporary buildings are going up on Fairfield of all roads. Wouldn't there be better $ return on developments off busy roads?

*Fairfield Rise excluded.

$1,149,000

A bit risky building that on spec, I should think.

Listed for $1.15 M per unit.:o (I am guessing it is a duplex because the sign said one is left. )

The sign does say "one unit left", though the listing says freehold title. :shrug

At least it is not Fairfield Rise Phase 2.

I was hoping it would be townhouses or something. A luxury duplex? What a waste of land. This corner can't catch a break. You got to be filthy rich, an idiot, or dead to live on that intersection.

Frankly I've just stopped caring about much of the new construction in Victoria, it's less stressful this way. And architecture is one of my greatest interests!

For a very similar price you can buy a home elsewhere in the general area with sweeping views of the ocean. I don't know why someone would happily invest well over a million for a view onto a cemetery along a relatively busy road.

Well at least Fairfield Rise (Ross Bay Landing now I guess) will look affordable in comparison.

The old Transport Canada building/property at the corner of Esquimalt and Harbour has a sold sticker on the For Sale sign - it's been on the market since maybe August? Any knowledge of what's going to happen to that corner?

uff... really? I'd much rather see some high-density residential over commercial on that corner.
