Or a Drescher? The buzzer system can emit a long nasal laugh when you let someone in the building.

The DP application for 515/519 Rithet Street is now on the development tracker. 4 storeys, 27 units, variances requested for site coverage, open site space and front, rear and side yard setbacks. No plans yet. https://tender.victo...Number=DPV00062

I've been in 515 Rithet for a party in the past... the home is in good shape with cool heritage character. It would be a good candidate for relocation/restoration if a new development comes to this property.

It's definitely a wide street.

Images now available on development tracker.
A mostly nondescript proposal. I wonder what obstacles the City will throw in its way?
It's odd that all the renderings omit the Breakwater (525 Rithet) condo building.

Now, can we not be innovative here and have the old condo share the car entry with the new building, at least at the street edge? Rather than a double-wide driveway facing the street?
Also, make Rithet a one-way street, add angle parking on one side or the other, or a bit on both and make the street cool.

Perhaps it is deliberate to create more separation between the buildings.

That's fine, but less concrete, more landscaping, the buildings can still be same distance apart.

Good catch, Kapten.
The building will be expanded to include five residential units (currently it has two) with ground floor office and retail space. Details: https://victoria.cit...nwood-oaklands/

Any rumours about 213 Vancouver Street? There's a single family home that looks ripe for development.
And there's another property on the SW corner of Vancouver and Sutlej that looks like a tear-down. Any word on this?

^A lot of work was done recently on that house. It's not going anywhere.
