Two dolphins will soon greet cruise ship passengers as they approach Victoria via Ogden Point.

______________

The federal government is pitching in nearly $2 million, while the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority will contribute $4,926,132, making up the $6.8 million total.

Last season, the largest cruise ship vessel to visit Vancouver Island docked at Ogden Point. The Norweigen Bliss — at 994 feet long and weighing in at 169,028 tonnes — could carry more than 4,200 passengers.

Todd, that’s crazy. It is indeed the same ship that lost 40 containers in rough seas on Thursday.

Know it all.

I didn't know there was a webcam there, great view. Bad news about the ship though.

Is fighting this sort of fire at sea within anyone's jurisdiction?

“...Lewis-Manning said typically it is the responsibility of a ship’s crew to extinguish a fire..”: https://globalnews.c...v-zim-kingston/

As they are supposed to be trained marine firefighters and know the ship best.

Shouldn’t be that big a crew, must be exhausted
