I had a very pleasant lunch at Jonathan's one day last fall. It seemed to be popular with the blue rinse set. I'd certainly eat there again.

Chatime is opening at the old Rogers location on Douglas. Vancouver Bubble tea franchise. I've been to the Robson location and loved the variety that they offered. Very happy that they're so close to my office!

Taiwanese, and one of the biggest bubble tea chain in the world. It's about time they came to Victoria!

i went to Johnny Rockets for the first time ever yesterday. Was alright, they have a $5.99 combo right now.

First post, I heard today Westside Village is getting a Browns Socialhouse in the empty building on the corner of Bay and Tyee. Hope its true as Vic West needs some more dining options.

Nice. I had mentioned this a ways back. Glad to hear it's still a possibility. Even though I'm not a big fan of the chain, the area needs another sit down restaurant.

2. The former TD bank location (it moved one spot West) which is it's own small building closest to the Tyee/Bay corner is being eyed by the people behind Brown's for a restaurant/lounge that could be a Brown's or something else.

I heard about the Browns when I was in the planning department at City of Victoria. Overheard the lease is complete and construction is scheduled to start in March or sooner.
I agree with Thundergun, the area needs a another sit down restaurant.
