Doesn't look like they serve burgers that most people would call burgers.

Even worse they serve them with "cheez" - whatever that is.

Lord that's funny about the vegan place. Not my cup of tea, that's for sure. Too bad about the Romeos as that's the one where we get our take-out pizza from. I hope it reopens. As far as downtown, I've been shopping more frequently at Hillside Mall and it always seems busy these days, it's my new downtown!

Isn't there a Romeo's across the street from the mall too?

Maybe this woke vegan food place would be interested in sponsoring the new woke Langham Theatre?

I dont have any trouble with this type of specialty place. Not my cup of tea but I guess they will find out if there is a demand for it.

seems like the wrong location for Meet.  Let's hope they have done their research and it doesn't close down in a few years.

Is Rebar still good? I haven't been in many years. I loved Rebar. Vegetarian without any cult requirements.

Johnny Rockets in the Bay Centre has closed. They were short staffed and normally closed on Mondays and Tuesday, but haven't re-opened in weeks.

Just noticed the for lease sign now in the window.

Do you think there is just a particularly heavy concentration of carnivores living in the Hillside/Blanshard area ...?

Internet chatter suggests Vancouver Rockets locations might be closed too.

Romeo's on Blanshard is temporarily closed due to an "extreme kitchen crew shortage."

Car centric location, not walkable from high density housing with the demographics that are vegan/vegetarian.

You never know, maybe the folks at Blanshard Court will embrace the meeT philosophy.

It was on CTV news that meeT picked that Boston pizza location for centralized delivery. Makes sense now.

Something tells me steamed kale does not improve via delivery.

After the Chuck's fiasco Victoria could use a burger place with values.

My only vegetarian friends (locally) have lived in Saanich and View Royal; my vegetarian acquaintance in the Lower Mainland lives in a lower-density part of New West…and I’m a meat eater near Cook Street Village. Is there a connection between vegetarianism and high-density living? It’s hard to say, but while there are some vegetarian eateries downtown there are also multiple free-standing butcher shops (I’m not talking about Very Good Butchers) in and around the core …
