New Shawarma joint on Broad beside that vitamin store.  It's the old Eugene's spot.  I wanna say Turkish....

Cora is reopening end of April, hiring now. I don’t know if it’s new management or not.

Quazar’s Arcade will be expanding to a 5700 sq ft licensed space on lower Yates this summer, details to follow I am sure! I wonder where this space is?

Could that be the former Cap Daily offices across from Fiamo?

Know it all.

I wondered if it was maybe the VR place. The space was described as having high ceilings and exposed brick.

Anyways, a licensed video arcade will do gangbusters.

I stopped playing arcade games when I was 18.

No kidding.

You should try out Quazars, they do a good job of it.

Quazar’s is a blast. They’ve also had about 15 machines at the Hudson Public Market for the last six months or so - great way to have some fun and kill some time over lunch break.

It appears that a Brazilian eatery will be opening on Yates next to the Brickard Pizzeria in the space recently occupied by a taco restaurant. The new eatery will be called Brazuca.

Here’s something different coming to the Marriott. I guess there are some graphics projected onto your plate that tells a story? I feel like this might be geared towards kids or families, but they are pretty clear about the story not applying to the kids menu, and kids under six are politely declined.

Celebrity Cruises has been doing Le Petit Chef for a number of years now. I haven't decided if I want to pay the specialty dining charge to experience this on my upcoming transatlantic voyage.

I wonder if this will be a churrascaria? That is essentially Portuguese for 'bbq" (meat). We used to frequent a popular Brazilian resto in Calgary near our office about a block from the Chinook mall back in the days when I commuted there. Great food, very tasty but "oh maaaaan" heavy, HEAVY emphasis on meat, meat and more meat, typically well seasoned and bbq'ed, served by roving waiters on long metal skewers. A party for your taste buds, but devastating on the colon......

Shine is closing its Johnson Street location after 11 years at its downtown location.

The Wandering Mollusk will be taking over the space.

Shine closes on April 24th. The operators say dine-in services may be limited or unavailable due to a staff shortage.

Is The Wandering Mollusk, which I think is/was a food truck/seafood retailer, now becoming a full service restaurant? If not, do they require the entire space the existing restaurant occupies? Is it that Shine cannot find staff or are they laying off staff in advance of closing?
