I remember playing offroad in the arcade as a kid.

When I went in the girl that was working there gave me a free comp play on a pin ball machine as it was my first visit.  Can't remember which one it was, but at one point it had 3 pinballs going at once. I had never had to play 3 balls at once. It was pretty intense. I will def go back and do some pinball.

...said the actress to the bishop.

Myself, I'd love to see Radar Scope, Dig Dug and Defender. I heard they are getting the old 1970s Sea Wolf game. I love those ancient electro-magnetic games.

They had Defender. I think it was a very early version or something. But I remember seeing an arcade game down there with the name Defender on the top with some other words. I didn't get a pic of it because too many people were standing in front of it.

With X-Box, Playstation etc. nearly every game uses the same controller. The thing I like about these old cabinet games is each game has a custom set of controls. Like the tank game above has twin joysticks you manipulate to move around and dodge shots. Ironically, tank manufacturers have been changing the control interface in real tanks to resemble Playstation controls in order to be more familiar to potential recruits.

A lot of small armed and bomb disposal robots use xbox controlers. Why make your own interface when you can buy of off the shelf from Microsoft for $60?

Evergreen Centre, situated at 6660 Sooke Road in the heart of Sooke's village core, will play a larger role in the town's retail make-up following its acquisition by an Ontario-based firm. The new owners envision additional retail opportunities and dining options.

Sale of Sooke’s Evergreen Centre to Ontario firm will bring big changes to the town core

Crabtree & Evelyn has filed for bankruptcy and will be liquidating its stores. The two Victoria locations are downtown (Fort Street side of the Bay Centre) and Hillside Mall.

Hillside can’t seem to catch a break, it seems...

Yes, I just noticed the Purdy's location today at the mall. I think they've made a good move, as that corner is now quite visible.

Don't be so sure.

The talk of the Purdy's move was in reference to the Bay Centre location.
