Ugh, and it was not pretty how he left the ice. Crawling, and just pushing off with one skate as he slid to the bench on all fours.
Here it is on video.
It was painful to watch and they didn't blow the whistle to stop the play.

CBC and Rogers have signed a deal that will see Hockey Night In Canada stay on the CBC's airwaves until at least 2026, and permit games
to be streamed online and via numerous CBC apps for at least that long as well.

Vancouver Canucks players brought some joy and laughter to children at B.C. Children's Hospital on Wednesday.
It was the team's first visit to the Canucks Playroom at the hospital's new Teck Acute Care Centre.
The playroom was created to give children a space to play between medical treatments.
It's designed to mimic the experience of being at the arena, complete with a jumbotron, hockey-themed fixtures and air hockey games.

The Vancouver Canucks hockey team is launching a joint campaign with B.C.'s Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions to combat the stigma around substance use.
The provincewide campaign will include television, online and social media messages, as well as public billboards that will be rolled out over the next few months.
The campaign will also be promoted in Rogers Arena at all Canucks home games and other events, such as concerts.

How about instead of combating the stigma they combat the problem? Jeesus.

Canucks' rookie Brock Boeser was named the NHL AllStar Game MVP. He is the second rookie in history to receive the honour, Mario Lemuix in 1985 was the first.
Boeser + Horvat is as good of a nucleus to build around as the Canucks have had, maybe ever.
Too bad Virtanen is such a bust, but I'm excited for next year with Petterson, Demko, Juolevi, Goldobin and our 2018 first round pick maybe ready to make the jump.

Horvat may have the 'Canadian kid' passion for the game that the Sedin's don't really have. The Sedin's were some of the best players in the world in their prime, but we never really seemed to see that drive to put the whole team on their backs and carry it when the going got rough.
Hopefully Horvat can be the next Linden in that regard.

The Sedins were oh hum during the playoffs as they couldn't wait to get back home.
Get some more young guys and carry on with the rebuild.
