The UG parkade usually gets broken into within new condo projects at the beginning.

People looking for items in storage lockers etc.

Never heard of the units themselves though...

Why only at the beginning?

Why only at the beginning?

Didn't say only at the beginning.

Just saying - it happens/gets tested at the beginning.

What impact would those above ground power lines have on resale?

Signage is in place now for the new Bear and Joey restaurant, which will occupy the SW corner.

That's some good news.  Let's hope restaurants can find a way to be viable in this new era of Covid.  They will need support from everyone if we want to have them as part of our communities. Support in any way you can.

Super cool it is a local restaurant.

Very (Beary?) glad it's not a chain...

Well done.

And a dream come true for those who have long been waiting for a dedicated ursine/kangaroo dining establishment.  :P

this story about bear and joey has a decent picture of the outside.

on the logo and interior:

Both an Interiors and Graphics project, owner of Bear & Joey, Peter Wood sought out the help of Meade Design Group to bring his vision of a Sydney inspired café in beautiful Victoria, B.C. to life. The objective was to create a vibrant, casual, yet elegant café unique from all other local coffee shops and restaurants. Bear & Joey’s branding, both graphic and interiors, emanates a clean, feminine, and upbeat look, perfect for capturing Instagram moments.

The typographical solution showcases Bear & Joey’s style and personality; charming, welcoming and unique. The logo is supported by a soft, feminine colour palette consisting of a pale pink and green. Meade Design Group also incorporated Peter’s bear and joey caricatures into pattern repeats and stationary elements to give the brand an inviting and playful vibe.

Wow! Need to be very careful what you wear if you visit Bear & Joey!

I think a strong, masculine colour palette consisting of warm tones of brown, tan, gold, green and beige may be in order, so as to provide a mature, authoritative vibe. LOL

Odd design for a cafe inspired by a country that considers the mullet high fashion and is home to the Tasmanian Devil.

If we left decor exclusively to men every restaurant would look like Maude Hunters.

Ivan Meade is a man and I look forward to seeing what he designed here (full disclosure: I know him personally)...

I am guessing you're not familiar with the work of Colin & Justin.

This project has been complete for quite some time now. It would be beneficial for us in the VV community to see this moved out of the Major Projects Underway collection.

Please assign a staffer to make this adjust soon after the long weekend comes to an end

Terms like "assign" and "staffer" don't jibe so well with Mike K.'s corporate culture. (as versus terms like "long weekend" or "summer mansion")
