Matthew is 31. He is described as a Caucasian man, standing six feet, three inches tall, weighing 280 pounds. He has short, brown hair and is wearing brown leather shoes. Matthew may be driving a red Chevy Volt with BC Licence Plate RB6 81E. A photograph of Matthew is below.

Matthew was reported missing by his family and was last seen at his residence in Esquimalt late last night. Officers are searching for him.

The West Shore RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating Amy Pana, who was reported missing on April 4th 2023.

Amy Pana was last seen on April 4th 2023 near the Tim Hortons located at 1820 Island Hwy in Colwood.

Mounties on the West Shore say a 32-year-old woman who was reported missing on April 4 has been found safe.

Investigators said last week the woman was seen near the Tim Hortons at 1820 Island Hwy. in Colwood before she disappeared.

On Tuesday morning, the West Shore RCMP said she was "located safe and well."

Police thanked those who shared info about the missing woman.

The Shawnigan Lake RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Niina Hupponen, who was reported missing on April 6, 2023.

She was last seen in the evening of February 23, 2023 when she was reportedly travelling from Nanaimo to Victoria.

 

She is described as a Caucasian woman, 37 years-old, approximately 5’8, 141 lbs with blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact their local police.

Missing woman to locate: Patricia Nzuza

Sidney/North Saanich RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing 55-year-old woman, Patricia Nzuza.

On April 19, 2023, Sidney/North Saanich RCMP received a report that Patricia was missing. Police confirmed Patricia arrived at Victoria International Airport on April 15, 2023 and was last seen departing the airport at 9:36 a.m. on April 16, 2023 on a BC Transit Bus.

Patricia is described as:

55-year-old Black woman
168 cm (5 ft 6 in)
68 kg (150 lbs)
Black Hair (last seen worn tied back with short bangs)

She was last seen wearing:

long tan coloured coat;
thick gold hoop earrings;
dark brown tailored belted shirt;
black pants;
white sneakers.

 

 

She may be traveling with two large hard-sided light pink suitcases, a black backpack with camo strap, and a small dark blue backpack style purse.

Police and Patricia’s family are concerned for her health and wellbeing as it is out of character for her to be out of contact for extended periods of time.

Police are asking anyone who may have information on Patricia Nzuza’s whereabouts to call the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP at 250-656-3931 and quote file number 2023-1808. If they wish to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Also, I’ve been told the ford vehicle of the man who went missing was found at a west shore shopping centre, abandoned. Police have not broadcast that detail yet.

Shawnigan Lake RCMP have taken over the investigation of a missing 62-year-old Saanich after his vehicle was located in the Mill Bay area.

On late Monday, Shawnigan Lake RCMP announced that they had taken over the investigation of Fournier’s disappearance. This came after Fournier’s vehicle was found in a parking lot in the Mill Bay area.

Fournier was last seen walking southbound on Mill Bay Road, and surveillance video has now confirmed that he was in the 2700-block of Mill Bay Road between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on April 16th.

Online fundraiser launched for missing Saanich IT tech

A family friend has begun an online fundraising campaign on behalf of the family of a 62-year-old Saanich computer technician who hasn’t been seen since April 16.

Shawnigan RCMP began investigating the case after Ben Fournier’s 2004 brown-and-gold Ford Taurus was located in a parking lot in the Mill Bay area.

Surveillance video from April 16 shows Fournier walking south in the 2700-block of Mill Bay Road between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

Measha Gallagher said in a GoFundMe post that Fournier had gone to his weekly Sunday brunch with friends on April 16.

Fournier comes from a large family with several siblings and has many nieces and nephews, said Gallagher, adding it’s unlike him to be out of contact for more than a few days.

In the meantime, Gallagher said, Fournier’s family is “trying to ensure the rent at his house is paid, cover the impound fees of his car and keep his life rolling while the investigation continues on.”

“Unfortunately, due to the nature and logistics of when people go missing, there aren’t any supports in place to help families move through this hard time.”

She said one of Fournier’s nieces has been off work since April 16 so she can help with the search.
 
The GoFundMe campaign had raised close to $2,000 of its $6,000 goal by Monday afternoon.
