This protest isn't going to change anyone's mind.

I don't think it's going to make anyone more enthusiastic for their cause
But Victoria in the Helps/Isitt era is a place of empty grandstanding and Trump-style trying to pit people against each other. Real solutions and growth are not encouraged these days.

Did the VicPD bring out the "scoops" to clear the bridge?

This was just before six as the party was breaking up. The guy with the bullhorn was giving the protesters the gears; "is your boat made of fiberglas", that sort of thing. Not really mean, more like teasing.

Exactly, I'm sure many people who had been skeptical about climate change previously suddenly became woke after seeing a fountain full of blood. Very clever and effective approach.

The fountain stunt was not just ineffective at increasing awareness of climate concerns, it's just another nuisance that taxpayers have to pay to rectify.

It sounds like there’s another protest happening, this time in the 800-block of Fort.

A controversial anti-SOGI speaker returned to Victoria Thursday night to talk about “assault on free speech.”

I have to do this at least once a year to keep my mod status - I've moved the posts about the CRD transportation cost study to: https://vibrantvicto...ate-study-2020/

Are they bringing the bouncy castle and BBQ they had in Ottawa?

I guess it’s going to show the Extinction Rebellion kids what real determination is all about.

Speaking of which, where have they all gone (the rebellion)? They had vowed to disrupt our lives every 3-4 days until they got whatever it was they wanted, but they’ve been absent from our highways for well over a month.

Know it all.

Could it be their release conditions obligate them individually to no longer partake in blockages? And so they have run out of new volunteers.

Not a very meaningful rebellion, then. They would give up so easily?
