So I have shell out the funds now, but I can't use the voucher until March 15, 2019. Nice.

So what is premium about that class if it is the cheapest fare?    Premium means a high quality choice compared to the majority of choices......

But, the service does not run between March 15th and April 15th according to one part of the website but I can book for those dates?

V2V is using Starbucks logic: Small = Tall, Medium = Grande & Large = Vente. It makes you think you are getting something more for the extra cost.

I understand, I am just ongoing amused at how they are trying to market themselves in such a hamfisted manner

trying to sell march or april and may travel in october is hard at the best of times even with a 50% off offer it hardly seems worth the advertising cost.

Looks like Riverside have a bailout for V2V, or maybe it's a sign that all will be for sale. The whole Sydney bucket sold for $20M (assuming Aus)...  Not sure if this means they have money to expand, or if there is blood in the water

The V2V would make a nice houseboat to be honest - cheaper than a house in the Vancouver harbour anyway

If it ran from Oak Bay Marina to River Rock Casino this would be an awesome and fast service. I just don't know why no one has decided to try that route out.

Oak Bay Marina has next to no local transit access and not enough parking to compensate.  River Rock (or thereabouts) on the other side is an excellent option as the Skytrain goes right by there; both to YVR (and some people would use V2V for this, you can bet!) and to downtown Vancouver etc.

almost certain nobody in oak bay would allow a ferry terminal as a new use for the obm lot.  sidney or pat bay makes sense.

It's long. One of the bridges between Sea Island (YVR) and Lulu Island (Richmond) is quite low, so depending on the size of the vessel it would have to go all the way to Point Grey and then turn back. The arms of the Fraser are also speed controlled, so it would be a very slow journey (I've done it myself. It's ~20 min just to get from River Rock to open water).

I would add that the Oak Bay Marina is not a convenient location. I'm not sure the neighbourhood would adapt well to the increase in traffic this would bring to Oak Bay.

Don't be so sure.

Based on V2V's passenger numbers to date, this would mean what, 2 additional cars/day into and out of Oak Bay?

Accurate analysis!

I just don't know why these guys bother anymore. Still advertizing all kinds of sales to get some income. They gave it an old fashioned college try, time to give it up and claim a big fat tax loss or two.

I've got a couple acquaintances who worked there or did some work for them and said it was a total sh*t-show.  Heard the owner was a bit of a bigot, made racist remarks and homophobic comments on the daily. Whether its true or not, who knows but that kinda crap won't do much good around here!

Would the owner of an Australian company be working out of the local Victoria office?
