I really think it's important that those elected reside in the riding that they represent. I know Chandra Hebert isn't the only MLA who doesn't live where he represents - I believe the same can be said for a few others. It's really frustrating that the government cannot run candidates who have to live with the reality their constituents face. I have sympathy for why Mr. Hebert moved - but then he should have ran for that riding instead of Vancouver in the last election.

Same goes with officials at the municipal level: live where you wish to represent.

What's the larger concern, where he lives, or that he uses the helicopter for mostly/sometimes personal use?

I suppose he can say he's doing constituency work every time he uses it to visit his riding, but is he?

He should be forced to resign his seat.

Kevin Falcon doesn't live in the riding he represents, says he can't afford it.

I think Christy Clarke didn’t live in her riding, either.

Falcon lives close by, doesn’t he?

Living in the riding is optimal, but the issue is the choices made that cost so much money.

Would Helijet Ogden Pt survive if Prov Gov was not using it on the regular?

No. The seaplanes probably not either. Or they’d be less frequent, anyway.

A forensic audit into the province’s troubled public housing agency has found “mismanagement related to a conflict of interest” between B.C. Housing’s former CEO and his wife, the head of a non-profit housing agency which has received tens of millions in taxpayer dollars.

Not sure if the report can fully conclude the couple were not enriched, unless we know her salary and bonuses.

By their 2021 Revenue Canada reports, Atira and PHS reported their top-paid executive at each operation was making in the $200,000-to-$250,000 range, while the next two highest-paid staff were in the $160,000-to-$200,000 range for PHS and the $120,000-to-$160,000 range for Atira. Victoria Cool Aid top pay went to one person at $160,000 to $200,00 and nine in the next range down.

Atira’s staffing costs went from $16-million to $35.8-million in those five years, when it added about 400 full-time and part-time staff.

I'll take it a little further VV:

1) until we see Abbott's comp form all sources, during the whole time in question, we should assume they HAVE been enriched. Did she get raises? how many? how much? Did those raises happen when procedures were corrupted?

2) Ramsay is absolutely crooked:

I want to know how much he's received from HIC, which HE set up, funded with BC Housing (public) money, without permission. Nice way to steal a second CEO salary. Every dime should be returned to the public and I hope a file is with the Atty Gen.

I think that Eby will be appointing his own candidate to run in this riding. IMHO all that Lore keeps doing is setting the stage for her departure to "spend more time with her family and to get away from the toxic life that women and minorities face in public office".
