You understand intuitively how much you're "getting on" after reviewing the previous 1-2 pages and realizing that other than Alice Cooper who I first saw when I was 13, and Alice in Chains, that you have absolutely no idea who any of the other bands/artists mentioned are........

Lou and Murph were in top form, the whole set was flawless and they played some great old tracks. For those not familiar, these fellows are pretty legendary in the folk punk classic indie rock scene and have been together, off and on, since about 1985. It’s hard to apply a genre to them..
Up next? Sloan, touring for the 20th(ish) anniversary of their album Navy Blues. It’ll be another double set, the first half being Navy Blues in its entirety, followed by another set of favourites and classics. Their shows in AB last week were about 30 song sets. Hard working guys! Commodore tonight, Nanaimo tomorrow and Distrikt on Tuesday. Probably still some tickets left. Can’t miss a Sloan show when they come out this way.
City and Colour in November then nothing else booked ...

They played two full sets, the first being “Navy Blues” in its entirety, the second set being some classics and favourites. Admittedly, that isn’t my favourite album...
The company was great, the club had some Goslings ginger beer leftover from a promotion so I was able to have some dark and stormy’s, but all in all not the best show I’ve seen in the last couple of months.

City and Colour has been on a considerable run in recent years, with four consecutive albums hitting No. 1 on the sales charts in Canada. That level of forward momentum was evident as the five-piece band, led by Toronto singer-guitarist Dallas Green, began its tour of Canada at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre on Friday. Playing to a vocal audience of 4,059 fans, Green and Company delivered a show befitting their reputation as one of the top rock acts in Canada. And without a doubt, there's still room for them to grow.

Good crowd, we got stuck behind three girls and one guy who were on some party drug and clearly over served. It was actually pretty entertaining, my straight-edge 17 yo daughter got a kick out of it, my 15 yo son would have rather been home playing D&D or video games haha.
Great set, nice mix of older and new stuff, acoustic and electric, and some real crowd favourites. I don’t think the current band he has is my favourite, tough to beat the Daniel Romano (Attack in Black) era and the recording musicians on The Hurry and the Harm were stellar, but the current band was super tight.
The last show I saw in the arena was Queens of the Stone Age, and the sound was terrible. Last night it was crystal clear and super loud, very well done.
Jacob Banks was absolutely terrific as well.
No more concerts booked, so what’s next?

Mötley Crüe released a video Monday officially announcing their upcoming reunion. In 2020, they’ll be kicking off a U.S. stadium tour with Poison and Def Leppard. While specific dates and venues have yet to be announced, the three acts will perform at stadiums around the country.

I hate to say it and potentially hurt my chances of getting tickets, but Alexisonfire is coming to Vancouver at the Pacific Coliseum on January 25 with the Distillers opening up.

I didn't realize they were back together!
I saw them in Victoria with Billy Talent and Cancer Bats about 10 years ago, that was quite the show.

Distillers are a big draw as well but they played Vancouver while touring with the Misfits in September so fans had their fill recently.

No worries, found the Spotify presale today and got my max eight tickets. It’s all GA so no need to wait. AoF live is a bucket list show for me.

Yeah, well, I took on your chicken wing recipe and used baking soda instead of corn starch by mistake, instead of my tried and true method that never fails.
