I mean if you wanna get technical it's a collaboration among people from Tacofino (Tofino), Cafe Medina (Vancouver), and Abdallah El Chami (Vancouver), which currently has one location in Victoria and a food truck in Vancouver

Just got back from a downtown vancouver hotel made about five stops to the hotel bar per day for complementary coffee as coffee makers were discontinued in the room do to covid. In the morning noticed no masks on the waiters then later in the day surgical masks by 9 o’clock full face shields and surgical mask.

That's great! The place is run by a familiar face to those who frequented Baan Thai on Blanshard Street downtown.

She's great. She also worked at Foo for a while. One busy day, when she took my name for my order she frowned, shook her head and said "no, there's already two other <name>'s here waiting. You're gonna be Steve today."  Next time I went a couple of weeks later, it was much quieter, and she yelled out "Steve!" with a huge smile on her face when I came in. I've heard good things about the Dumpling Drop, as they've been doing pop-up locations for the last year or two - gonna have to place an order.

Pepper's Food in Cadboro Bay sells the Dumpling Drop dumplings. We tried the shrimp chive ones and they were to die for! Highly recommend!
