Cube Foodbox on Pandora is now open as of the 13th.

Tried this place on the weekend. They need to up their game, it was mediocre at best.

The Avalon Restaurant is a well run 28 seat, well established and profitable local eatery. Open for Breakfast and Lunch from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. six (6) days a week. Closed on Tuesdays. Owner operated and has been PROFITABLE in its first year. Expand the hours and expand your income. Very reasonable rent and good lease.

$79,000

tmz:

This is as painful as it is revealing to watch. A man absolutely LOSES IT at a restaurant, because they took too long to prepare his order.

It happened in, of all places, Canada ... famous for its friendliness. The man was at the Chinese Garden restaurant in Blind Bay, British Columbia when he exploded at the waiter for taking way too long to place his order.

We’re not rude, friendliness never had anything to do with it.

We’ve stopped answering the phone to force all takeout to online ordering (people can still walk in and order to go of course) and have signs posted that say, basically, if you can’t follow the rules, get out, with a QR code to the provincial health order. I think some people think we’re just making **** up. :)

This is a repeat of that BC Ferries incident of a couple years back. The guy is a jerk of course, but every parent of a rwo-year old will tell you how it scrambles your brain. Maybe he's like this every day, maybe he just snapped for the first time in his life.

You demand perfection from yourself, from your food how can you tolerate any less from your customer.

We went to 1550s on Cedar Hill X tonight, they have the strictest system I've seen so far. Unlike Glo, which we visited a couple weeks back which was filled inside just like a normal evening or Spinnakers which had widely spaced interior seating, 1550s had patio seating only. No table service, you went up to a table at the entrance and placed your order and you picked your food up at the same counter. Your food and drinks are served in disposable containers, no silverware, glasses or plates.

I thought it was a bit extreme compared to some other places around town but I can't complain because I think every establishment has the right to set the rules they feel comfortable with.

The folks, or one of them anyways, behind McCrae’s on Shelbourne has taken over the recently closed Mole on Millstream location and rehired the previous chef to reopen.

I believe they also took over the Breakwater Cafe and Bistro within the past year. Building a nice little local restaurant empire!

Will the Mole location have the hot sauce? That’s all we want to know.

Know it all.

seems to me qoola is always changing hands.

Great opportunity for rebranding as your choice at this location. Situated in one of the most busiest shopping mall in Victoria, Hillside Mall went through a 80 million dollar renovation and this well established store is superbly situation right next to the food court. Walking distance to Camosun College and a few mins drive to UVIC. Qoola is driven by the desire to provide healthy and wide variety of products for the community. That is why it is one of the most successful brand in the industry.

We should note that Qoola's Hillside location is not currently open even though the other food court tenants have reopened.

Several Qoola franchises have shut down over the years including one locally on lower Yates and one on Denman Street in Vancouver's West End.
