Ithaka Greek...is relocating its business to the former Millos restaurant building on Burdett St.
It's all Greek to me.

Kapten messaged me to say there’s signage on the building.
Good for them.

Millos sadly evolved into a sub-par restaurant in an iconic building.
Ithaka was the last remaining great authentic Greek restaurant stuck in a doomed strip mall.
Ithaka moving into Millos is a great win-win.

My last experience at Ithaka was awful. Horrible service. I asked for an item not to be included with the meal and they charged me extra. I didn't expect a deduction but the extra charge for LESS food?

That's surprising. It's the 3rd best reviewed restaurant in the city on Trip Advisor with over 1300 reviews.

Yeah, it’s been for sale for a while. Wish they’d open up again! Business isn’t worth much IMO but the land and building are. The pizza oven is truly amazing, and some great potential here. Nice part is it’s got built in staff housing!Thoughts Matt R. ?

One of the owners has roots in Victoria, some of you no doubt know her work!

Seems to be plenty of pizza places - tough competition.

Big Wheel Burger’s newest location will be a “good trailer” at 939 Balmoral Rd (in North Park) opening October 1.
I wonder if the CoV would be willing to implement a mid-block crossing from North Park to Balmoral to cut down my travel time?

What? No. There isn't another pizza place like this on the island (there is at least one wood fired pizza trailer but I've never seen it open) and there isn't another restaurant anywhere near this one really. There is a small cafe next door but it's not the same market at all. This place could be a fabulous business for the right people. In fact, prior to their closing last winter, this was the BEST place on the island and the meals I had there were nothing short of perfect.
The thing about salt spring is that people will not drive the 10-15 km it takes to get from town to this place (or mine) - we get a few here and there but it's the locals, and I mean the neighborhood locals, that would keep this place afloat, with the bump from tourists of course.

Big Wheel Burger’s newest location will be a “food trailer” at 939 Balmorral Rd (in North Park) opening October 1.
Best news I've heard all year. I'll now have Big Wheel, Bin 4, and Burger Crush within a two block radius from my place
