Holy spikey railing, Batman!

You should examine the supporting brickwork. I've seen sturdier structures in Pompeii.

Pelicana is opening a location on Shelbourne/Cedar Hill X Rd, next to Lin Heung. They’re a fried chicken chain from Korea.

Gulls, crows, and pigeons are in abundance here....maybe they can market them as free-range?

There are signs in the old Wrap n Roll on Fort by the Jubilee hospital that a new Papa John's Pizza is moving in.

Would this be the first Papa John's in the metro area?

On another note, the new 'Grocerant' is open at Broadmead Centre and they are offering sit-down table service on their patio as well.

That would be Niche Grocerant. They partner with great, local companies and at least one of the people behind it has been in the F&B for quite a well so they know their stuff!

I was one of the builders on this one. Extremely veteran crew running the place. Owners have a long history in wine sales, chefs come from Zambri’s and other high end restaurants.

The fancy website doesn't really fully explain what to expect inside. I gather there will be limited menus representing several local restaurants and you choose a dish and they will either give you the ingredients to cook it at home or cook and prepare it for take out or cook it for dining in.

Both are industry pros, on the retail liquor side as well as the food service side and extremely well liked and connected.  You'll see some really awesome product on their shelves for sure.

There’s a Nanaimo location which can probably let you know, if you’d like to call them up.

Didn't we have one in that strip mall in Langford - there was SOME take and bake pizza place there for a while but, alas, Victoria can't have nice things and it went away.

ETA: No no = it was a Papa Murphy's we had (take and bake). Papa John's is actually edible from the storefront (imagine that!)
